I've used a variety of legal firms and have views about all of them! The worst examples are the large firms that offer excellent advice, but involve half a dozen people, often without permission, to support their professional view from different angles. Upselling at its finest. The firm we use now does not do that, and it is a key reason why they have my business.

I'm new to my school, but we retain a firm in the South Central region. They seem to have been good on a couple of tricky things I've had on my plate.
