Setting up in Dubai

Hi

I've just joined a global organisation that is  in the process of setting up an entity in Dubai.  I literally just took over from my predecessor last week with hardly any handover!  She did make a start but she also didn't know how to go about this so I've been left with documents and information that I have to try and make sense of.

I have no idea where to start!  During the handover, I was told that we need to make the UK contract compliant with UAE.  If someone could point me in the right direction of even just the starting point, this would be a massive help to me!

  • Hi Hazel, could you please clarify what kind of contract that needs to be complaint with UAE laws? Is it a labour contract?

    Hi Omar - we essentially need a template that is compliant with Dubai employees.  I have the UK one so am aiming to convert.  The company have started the process and I am just trying to make sense of it.  They registered with MOHR before I joined and now need to get visas etc for the two employees. I've been put in touch with some organisations so hopefully they help to bring it all together for me
