Outstanding Contribution Award for branch volunteers

By Alexandra Carr, Community Lead, Branch Development.

We know that all branch volunteers work hard, and we are grateful for the difference committee members make in Championing Better Work and Working Lives, so we have created an award to thank individuals who have delivered exceptional service in the branch.

Branch chairs can nominate someone on the committee who has gone the extra mile in their role, who has provided invaluable support, or who has produced a great piece of work that can be recognised. One person from the committee, per year, can be selected and put forward by completing a nomination form to tell us why that person’s contribution has been exceptional.

There are no set criteria or judging process for the Outstanding Contribution Award, we simply want to enable chairs to recognise great volunteer work and effort, we’re asking them to tell us about that work so we can collaboratively say a big thank you from CIPD.

This year we will be asking for nominations from branch chairs across regions throughout the Spring and Summer and winners will be announced by the CIPD Community Lead Alexandra Carr and handed over by chairs at branch meetings and events throughout the year.

Award winners will receive a certificate, a letter from Peter Cheese, CEO, and a small token of our thanks in recognition of their hard work.

‘This is an exciting opportunity for CIPD to say a massive thank you to branch committee members and shine a light on their work. We’re also enabling chairs, as leaders of the branch, to identify and recognise great work in the team. I’m really excited to celebrate our volunteers success' - Alexandra Carr, Community Lead.

Thank you for your comments. There may be a short delay in this going live on the blog page as we moderate the comments added to our blogs.
