HR Apprenticeships

Hi everyone

I'm working with an organisation who are looking to recruit an HR Assistant and to whom they would like to offer an HR Apprenticeship. Does anyone know how best they would go about finding out what is available in the Winchester area?

Many thanks in advance

Karen

  • The Institute for Apprenticeships website is probably a good place to start - if they go into the Apprenticeships Standards section and search for the HR standard, they'll then be able to put in their location to see a list of training providers who offer the standard.

    Hi Karen

Apprenticeships in Business Admin. may be far more readily available and still provide an adequate foundation: unless the BA apprenticeship framework has been changed in recent years, they can be tailored very much to employer-determined options that complement the core components

But, best to choose training providers with great care and in most instances to steer clear of apprenticeships that only involve NVQ3 level qualifications and last not much longer than 12 months - as (too) many do

    Thanks for the input, David.

Just noticed typo in last reply, Karen - should of course have written
    NVQ2 and not NVQ3.
  • Hi Karen

We have a graduate who is studying towards a Level 5 HRM as an apprenticeship. Our Learning provider is DPG, https://www.dpgplc.co.uk/, they may not be able to help with the recruitment but will be able to support the formal learning.

    Kind regards

Hi Julie, one of our staff is around half-way through a level 5 HR apprenticeship with Arch (accredited by the CIPD) www.archapprentices.co.uk/. It is mostly online and self-managed. The support we have had (the apprentice and I as the manager) has been 1st class. Natalie Taylor from Arch has supported us and has been brilliant.

Hi Andrea, has your apprentice gone through the EPA as yet? Just wondered if you could shed some light on what the professional discussion element consisted of as I am struggling to find anything that details this.
    Thanks in advance
