Hi everyone,
I’m look for some guidance and advice regarding careers in learning and development. I spent 13 years building up a career in a learning and development and become a Training Manager for a large organisation. I took a career break to be a full time mum took non l&d roles to fit around family commitments for 10 years. I am now struggling to get my experience recognised in my current role and when applying for new roles due to the long career gap. Any suggestions on how I can overcome this? I don’t mind starting at a slightly lower job role than my previous roles but am finding it very difficult to be right back at square one again and have my experience and knowledge discounted due to my career gap.
Any advice or suggestions would be much appreciated.
Anneliese
