Hi James. I was a mentee in a mentoring relationship, which was facilitated by CIPD. I have found it to be very valuable. The first year we had regular chats over coffee and this become less regular in the last 6 months, but we are still in touch and I have support if and when needed. it has helped me focus my career and learn from someone and I believe my mentor has found it to benefit him too. I would definitely recommend you check it out with your local branch. I know some mentees weren't paired first time round, but were in the next cohort. If you go ahead I hope you find it as valuable as I have.
