Hi there,
I have had a career break to be a full time registered carer for my adopted son. I'm looking for some advice/help as to how to put this down on my CV and/or mention it on my cover letter in a positive way.
Since 1998 I had been working in HR roles until taking my career break in Sept 2015 until the present.
I gained my MCIPD status in 2000, and have worked in a variety of senior and stand alone HR roles.
On looking at updating my CV ready to apply for a job I don't want prospective employers to be put off by my career break, though I am realistic enough to know that some will. Any advice would be much appreciated.
Thank you
Yvonne
