Hi - I've been doing some recruitment recently and looked at a lot of CVs (not for HR roles) they really do come through in a hugely varied range of formats, fonts, colours, photos/no photos etc. I haven't printed any out and viewed all of them on screen so do think about online legibility. On balance I think your CV style does say something about you as a person. Some convey light heartedness and fun and some look 'extremely serious' - probably best to strike for professional but approachable for most roles. I think my best advice is keep it neat, accurate, contemporary, succinct and tailored for the role you are going for where possible. Don't be tempted to list endless skills and personal attributes, instead bullet relevant, measurable achievements in role and your key responsibilities.
