Seeking advice on psychology courses and HR development

Hello all, I hope you are all well! I have been working in HR for the past three years and during this time, I have learned a great deal and was able to obtain my CIPD level 5 people management qualification. I am now considering studying psychology to further expand my knowledge and support my development in HR. I am currently not inclined in pursuing CIPD level 7 and would really value your views on whether studying psychology could be beneficial for an HR career. For those who have taken psychology courses, particularly the short courses for tailored for HR professionals, I would really appreciate hearing your experiences whether you find it helpful and lastly, would you be able to share the provider? Thank you all so much for your time. Wishing you all a lovely weekend! :)

  • Hi

There was a recent past thread in which I was bemoaning that CIPD had departed so much from incorporating discrete areas of study such as psychology inti their qualification requirements.

A background in Psychology - especially Social Psychology - can be immensely useful both in HR and life generally. Such as the Open University does a very thorough offering in such things - eg
