I'm currently looking to broaden my knowledge of employment law, partly to help with my work as an ER Advisor but also as a personal interest. Having discussed it with my manager he's asked me to get a few suggestions for courses together, ranging from 1-day workshops to longer courses leading to qualifications.

Has anyone taken any employment-law specific courses that they could recommend (or not!)? I think the CIPD's 1-year employment law course looks interesting but very expensive. I've had a look at ACAS as well but they seem to just run employment law update courses.

My priority would be the knowledge I gain which can help with my work and possibly save my organisation a little bit of money on solicitor's fees (for more simple issues, I don't actually want to be an employment lawyer). I'm not too bothered about whether it's accredited or not or how it will look on my CV as I already have an MSc/ level 7 diploma in HRM.
