Torn between Home Learning college and ICS

Hello,

I am planning to join the CIPD - Level 3 Foundation course asap. However, I am confused with which provider I should go with. The prices seem very opaque too. Please help.

  • Hi Ankita,

I studied my L5 with Home Learning College, and I'm studying my L7 with ICS.

For me, I prefer Home Learning College, as you start the course with a group of others with whom you can chat and seek advice, have weekly online classroom sessions and we also had occasional classroom-based sessions on a Saturday. You also have a set timeframe to complete the course, and deadlines for each essay.

With ICS it's very self-directed - you are essentially provided with a textbook, course notes and access to a tutor and you work through at your own pace setting your own deadlines (provided the course is completed in the required timeframe of course!).

Ultimately, it all depends on how you work best.
