Hi All, We are putting a letter together, is the 80% just for basic pay or is it an average of previous earnings as many of our employees get commission. Also do staff continue to accrue holidays whilst on Furlough leave.

Thank you for this Richard much appreciated. On this subject, My MD has asked if we can ask staff to volunteer holidays if they are furloughed. So if we can claim 80% of employment costs from the government and we will make up the difference so everyone is furloughed on full pay could we in turn ask that staff volunteer one days annual leave for every four days we pay in full? Would that be allowed?
