Hi all!
i am currently and employee benefits and reward consultant and advise HR professionals on what their health, wellbeing, comp and bens strategy should be.
i have 8 years experience and am thinking about CIPD level 5 or 7. I find HR practice interesting and love learning. If I ever did go in house I would like pay either be going for Reward Director or free lance. Otherwise, the qualification will strengthen my consulting skills. I tried a level 5 Employment law module as a Mock through DPG and found it fairly straightforward (although I do cover parts of the module day to day anyway).
Would level 7 be too much of a stretch given I am not in HR (only advise HR) or should I take the fact I found the module easy as a sign I need to push myself more?
Out of the level 7 modules I cover just under half in my day to day role and the rest is brand new content/fields/areas for me. Similar for level 5. I did initially draw towards level 5, but I am unsure. Would also be cheaper in the long run to do level 7 off the bat.
Thank you in advance for your advice,
Charlotte
