Level 3 or level 5

Hello,

I am currently a Clinic Manager but have about 8 years experience in clinic manager and office Manager roles. I have a lots of experience in People management and two years ago I completed a level 3 in leadership and management with ILM.

Having not worked in an actual HR department would I struggle starting at level 5 or will my previous experience help?

I am expecting on completion of studies to acheive a mid level role in HR or a combined office manager/ HR support role.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

  • Hi Hayley, I would suggest you look at the CIPD level 3 in HR Practice. If you have a company in mind to go through I would have a chat with them and see what they say about your experience and see if it would help with the level 5 but the level 3 would give you a cover of recruitment and employee relations (I'm currently on the level 3 of the HR practice). You can then go on to the level 5 if you wanted as thats what I hope to do in the next 3 years once I've got abit more experience.
