Referencing Advice

Hi I am a new to both studying and HR. I’m a single mum and have started my level 3 CIPD qualification alongside part time working. I have completed my first assignment ( 9 questions - Business, culture and change in context). I need to go through my 9 questions now adding references - I know I probably should have done the references whilst doing the assignment and not all at the end but as I was struggling, didn’t recieve the tutorial support I had expected and put them off till now. I understand how I am supposed to reference and the type of references I need I am really struggling to find academic style references. I have lots of online newspaper, statistics, non reputable websites etc I am looking for models, theories, articles, book extracts etc. I have been looking so far on google and google scholar changing the date to ‘since 2021’ but I can’t seem to find the type of references I need. Does anyone have any tips where else I can look or how I can find acceptable and varied references please, Thank you Sophia

  • Hi Sophia, hope you're keeping well?

I'm not sure what institution you're studying L3. I was given access to at least one online research information library platform. Perhaps, you may also have something similar such as EBSCO, or JSTOR or GALE. These platforms are super rich in research content (ancient and modern) and should provide you with sufficient 'academic' reference materials.

Here's wishing you all the best and success in your assignment and study.

    My 2 cents well spent.
