Is it a big jump from Level 3 to Level 5?

Hello! I've just completed my Level 3 with Avado - looking to start my Level 5. For personal reasons I am not employed in a role at the moment. I need to study online. It would be useful to know what the jump feels like between L3 and L5. What were the main things you noticed? I've previously studied at Masters degree level, so my tutors are confident. However, given my personal circumstances I would like to feel as prepared as possible. Thanks!

  • I say go for it. Having the background of Level 3 and your Masters, will help you. I did my Level 5 without going to 3. I was jobless and I studied entirely online. Towards the end of Level 5 I landed my first job in HR. Best of luck!

Thank you. My Level 3 hasn't gone through moderation yet, so I think I need to wait until that comes through but then I will jump in. Which Level 5 did you do please?
  • Hi Bethany,

Definitely go for it! It was the best thing I ever did. I studied for my Level 5 HR via online classroom for the first 3 modules and then completed the rest via the Competency route. All of this I did while working full time, at which, had me travelling extensively out of the country a lot. The support I had from my tutor and Acacia learning was immense.
  • I think you will be absolutely fine. I went straight into a Level 5 with Avado and only had a Bachelors degree beforehand in a completely unrelated topic. I found the first module daunting, but once you get into the swing of things it's fine. Having done a degree you shouldn't find referencing too tricky and Avado tutors offer plenty of support.
