Graduate of the CIPD in 2005 - what is that now equivalent to?

Hi, any advice appreciated.  I have a Graduate of the CIPD certificate dated 2005, after completing 2 years at day/night release with the CIPD at my local university.  Can anyone advise if this is the equivalent now of level 7?  Also is a graduate of the CIPD an equivalent of any form of degree?

  • If you completed a postgraduate certificate, this would be considered equivalent to a Level 7. You would be entitled to Associate Membership and, depending on experience, would be eligible to apply for Chartership to Chartered Member.

Depending on the course, a postgraduate certificate is generally one-third to one-half of the credits required for an MSc in HRM, with a dissertation most likely required to complete the course.

EDIT - Your forum profile suggests you already have Chartered Membership, so it shouldn't matter, professionally, whether or not you have a Level 7 certification unless you're looking for credits to an MSc.
