What should I expect at a third stage interview / conversation with director?

I have a third stage interview for my first L&D role and this time its a 'conversation' with the director of L&D. No idea what to expect. I just know its between me and one other candidate. I'm very anxious as I really want this role (the salary is amazing). I need an idea of questions and answers. I'm guessing cultural fit but who knows? I really want to ace it, thanks

  • Hi Kirstt, got everything crossed for you, well done for getting to the 3rd stage. I'd also have a think about your successes and achievements. For example - rolled out a new appraisal process and delivered training to xxx employees within the expected xx weeks/months as planned. Vicky is correct to mention your motivation about applying for the job while there is still a lot of emphasis on the bottom line and how training brings benefits to an organisation. So key points on where you added value is worth thinking about. If you feel able it would be great to hear how you get on. :-)
  • I still don't have any actual date or time. The whole process has been over 3 months now and its rather frustrating, especially as I was made redundant several months ago so I reallly want a new position. I just wish they'd speed things up.
