Looking to Give Back While Gaining Additional HR Experience - your help please

Hi everyone Wave

I’m currently halfway through my Level 5 People Professional qualification and looking to transition into HR after qualifying from a strong background in leadership within logistics.

I’m keen to gain hands-on HR experience across different industries and would love to connect with any charities or organisations that could benefit from some extra support on a part-time basis.

I bring many years of experience leading teams, driving performance, and supporting people on the ground — and I’m now looking to build on that by broadening my HR knowledge

If you know of any opportunities, or would like to have a conversation about where I could add value, I’d be really happy to connect.

Thanks in advance!

Emma

  • Hi Emma, if you are currently working in an organisation is there opportunity for you to get some HR experience internally?  Also I would recommend joining/volunteering at your local CIPD branch.  Here you can also connect and netwok with other people professionals Our branch network | CIPD...

  • Great advice, Michelle — thank you.

I’m currently building a strong portfolio for my qualification by getting involved in a wide range of HR activities. Alongside this, I’m keen to broaden my experience by contributing in a different industry to FedEx, while also giving something back.

I’m also exploring opportunities to support the Nottingham or Leicester CIPD branches. If anyone has connections with organisations such as Citizens Advice, ACAS, or charities supporting individuals affected by abuse, I would really appreciate being put in touch.
