Volunteering … Looking to Give Back While Gaining Additional HR Experience - your help please

Hi everyone Wave

I’m currently halfway through my Level 5 People Professional qualification and looking to transition into HR after qualifying from a strong background in leadership within logistics.

I’m keen to gain hands-on HR experience across different industries and would love to connect with any charities or organisations that could benefit from some extra support up to 7 hours per week

I bring many years of experience leading teams, driving performance, and supporting people on the ground — and I’m now looking to build on that by broadening my HR knowledge

If you know of any volunteer opportunities, or would like to have a conversation about where I could add value, I’d be really happy to connect.

Thanks in advance!

Emma

  • Hi Emma, if you are currently working in an organisation is there opportunity for you to get some HR experience internally?  Also I would recommend joining/volunteering at your local CIPD branch.  Here you can also connect and netwok with other people professionals Our branch network | CIPD...

  • Hi ,back when I was in Niger I had assisted my organisation HR to compiled sorts and Resume that best suits specific roles and contacting these candidates and arranging interviews and logic tests and also organising and arranging the hall for physical meetings etc but when I arrived UK I couldn’t get such roles because I do not have UK experience, so I decided to take support worker roles while I source for where I can volunteer as an HR assistant and i thought there is no better place to start other than at CIPD, I am in the Birmingham Moseley area and would more than happy to get into a volunteering role as this would help me develop my interest while i serve. Thank you Emma for all you do for every individual.
