You need at level experience to go further in HR. You already need to be it and doing it in order to become it. They don’t train you in order to become it.
We have had this discussion here on and off here for the best past of a decade, and many helpful tips, advice and suggestions have been provided, I have gone full circle, yet ten years on and as per the below it is still all exactly the same best illustrated by the response below. Sorry, we enjoyed meeting you but want at level experience and don't train.
Is is impossible in my case. That means cannot be done, not worth considering and out of the question. That scenario therefore provides me with two main options here:
(1) Being an HR Administrator for the next 30 years until retirement;
(2) A mid career change.
I have the CIPD Level 7s in HRM and L&D but that didn't make any difference at all, and I feel that the issue in my case is very straightforward:
Not that I don't meet the criteria but also that I can't meet the criteria. I don't have the experience and also can't get the experience.
How do other people manage to do it as go one is born as something and need to become it?
Did I also choose an especially difficult profession here and its also exactly the same case across the public and private sectors and SME's. They all say the same thing.
Its gone on for ten years, and is this a particularly complex issue that few people would have any real answers or solutions to, except to try a different field of work and see if its not the same there?
But would other professions accommodate a career changer from scratch at 50+?
Basically, none of the suggestions given here have worked. Its just still the same and as entrenched a decade on. There is no job.
I obviously can't get them and know that, but do other people manage to do it?
Finally, many of you may say what don't you do this or try that?
The answer is I have done that or tried it, but still can't get them, namely the jobs.
As per below:
