CIPD Level 5 is enough to get a Job?

I am currently working as an Assistant HR Manager. I do not hold a university degree, as I completed my education up to the 12th grade. However, I do have several certifications (though not specifically in HR).

I am now planning to pursue CIPD Level 5. My question is: if I aim to progress into a managerial-level HR role, would CIPD Level 5 alone be sufficient, or is having a degree essential—particularly in the UK job market?

I would appreciate any guidance. Thank you.

  • Hi there Khizar - I agree with Rachel -experience and knowledge of the UK market will be important as well - not just the CIPD qualification. I speak with quite a lot of people who relocate to the UK and are disappointed when they cannot get a job based on their overseas qualifications as easily as they expected. Good luck.
