5CHR - 2.4

Hi all,

I am currently halfway through my CIPD and struggling slightly with this module and in general Q2.4. 'Examine HR's contribution to business ethics and accountability'.

Is anyone able to shed some light on this? I am also relating back to a retail/store setting. As I currently do not work within HR.

    For 2.4 you should consider the role of the HR professional in promoting the business' values, ensuring these are upheld, role modelling, communicating, etc. Consider the ways that HR professionals might/do make valuable contributions, not just in the development of policies but in equipping managers and leaders to deal with problem situations and potential issues, championing accountability and why this is important, how the performance management process and modelling behaviours can be used to reinforce these messages, etc.

    Try to avoid limiting your response to policy writing and policing/monitoring :)
