CIPD Level 7

Hi Everyone

I have just passed my level five CIPD diploma which was mainly done on-line (remotely) having attended a handful of seminars in London.

I would now like to study level 7 CIPD (either certificate or diploma) but in a classroom environment with no exams. Does anyone know any institution in the Greater Manchester area where I can do level 7 in a classroom environment with no exams but assignments/projects only? I'm prepared to travel to Leeds if such a course exists there.

Thanking you in anticipation of your assistance.

Regards

Ian Kennedy

    Hi
    Thank you.
    I did mine 100% online with DPG. I absolutely loved the course but struggled with 2 units out of the 8.
    Good luck with yours - I am sure you will love it too.

    Hi
    It is good that CIPD offers potential candidates a choice of providers. From classroom based to block delivery to online. I believe that Cullen Scholefield offers a good balance by having a 1 to 1 coaching approach combined with the use of appropriate technology. The net effect being a more personal way of developing yourself.
    We have been working this way for the last 10 years and it certainly gives learners the flexibilty they need.
    Good luck with finding the right approach for you!

    Thanks so much for your reply Maureen. I'll definitely look into this.

    Hi Maureen
    I am seriously considering the Level 7 Certifictae but before I commit the money and time, I would like to 'see' how much more difficult it would be for me. Do you have a past example question for any of the following units I am interested in undertaking -
    * Resource & Talent Management
    * Managing Employment Relations
    * Employment Law
    * Reward Management

    Many thanks in advance

  • Hi Ian
    The Advanced Certificate or Diploma at Level 7 has a number of providers offering classroom learning see nmj.cipd.co.uk/qualification-finder. I would ask you to consider the more modern way of learnng - online and blended learning approaches. This may help you find a provider more quickly as classroom based learning is likely to have fixed start dates.

    You will certainly be able to do the Certificate without any examinations. The examined units are:
    Human Resource Management in context (7HRC) and
    Leading, managing and developing people (7LMP).
    Both of these units are Core to the Diploma.
    If you would like a chat please text me on [removed by moderator]
    Kind regards
    Maureen

    Those changes are happening in a few months time Paul and there are very few modules which will have transferable credits towards the new syllabus so anyone who only has their Certificate and wants to upgrade had best consider it now.
