What is the best qualification / training for HRBPs?

Hi, I have been an HRBP for a year and have an MSc in HRM from a few years ago.  My background in Employee Relations in the NHS and I'm ready to take on some more study and keen for it to add value to the HRBP role.  I've looked at an MBA and I'm particularly interested in behavioural science so I'm torn between looking for a business focussed qualification or a people qualification.

What would anyone suggest including any advice on the courses out there and/or is there something that combines the two disciplines?

Thank you

  • For me its simple - A HRBP needs two sets of skills. One around HR (which you have from experience and the Masters) and one around Business/Partnering. I would focus further study on the second one. An MBA might be too deep / long / expensive so I might look at shorter courses around finance, marketing etc

Too many people (IMO) tend to do more and more study in something they are already good at
