Getting into HR as newly qualified Associate

I am currently a new qualified CIPD associate and would like some advice of ways to get into HR. I have very little hr experience and have been on a career break for over 5 years as a caregiver. Prior to that I got line managerial experience that has some transferable skills set.

  • Line management skills gives you a lot of value. I would make contact with your local CIPD branch and engage with them as much as possible.

    Use LinkedIn as a very useful way of demonstrating your skills to future employers.
