Volunteering

I’m nearly finished my CIPD level five and I’m eager to gain some practical work experience in HR. I’m particularly interested in employment law and I’m willing to volunteer between 5 to 20 hours per week. I reside in the Cheshire area. I’d like to start at the entry-level, as I believe this will provide a valuable learning experience in mastering my craft. Can anyone offer assistance or suggest some opportunities?

You could do worse than hang around the community Discussions Forum and look at what questions come up and how these questions are answered.

Hi Alastair, welcome to the community. When you have a mo it would be worth doing a quick search for historic threads on this topic as they come up occasionally on this forum, suggest you search using the words "voluntary work". Although I did start up a thread with signposting for voluntary work in the charity sector it does not appear to be available any more. Charities are definitely worth a stab to keep their costs as low as possible and if you come across anything which would be valuable for future posters it would be great to update this forum if possible.
