  • Hello ,

I am sorry to hear you lost your job. However, I am also pleased you’re on an exciting, life-changing journey.

I believe you’re in a strong position, even if it may not feel like it right now. Depending on your situation, particularly, finances, while you grow your coaching and wellness academy, it may be prudent to look for part-time, short-term or freelance HR roles — ideally ones that give you some flexibility to grow your academy. This keeps income flowing and your CV current.

It is very important that you Keep your mental health ‘Healthy’ - keep a good network about you; people who will keep you going and motivated. If prayer keeps you going, please do indulge. At the same time, make sure your LinkedIn and CV reflect your full range: Executive HR Leader, Certified Coach, and Academy Founder. Start posting updates about your journey — share insights, tips, even your challenges. It shows credibility and keeps you visible.

Reach out to your network. Let them know you’re open to work and collaborations, not just jobs. Many roles come through conversations, not applications.

As your academy builds, offer corporate coaching sessions, leadership webinars, or wellness workshops. Companies are actively investing in these areas — and your HR background makes you uniquely qualified.

Again, the above is simply my 'bird's eye' view, I do not have details to go by. More so, I’m not conversant with the business and work regulations in Kuwait. Having said that, your situation should not be perceived as a step back — it’s a strategic pivot. You’re building something bigger while staying professionally engaged. Keep both tracks moving Rula, and stay open to opportunities.

Good luck with your journey. Do keep us posted; we’d like to hear about your journey and academy

    ...My 2 Cents well spent.
