Hi,

I am working as standalone HR for a distribution site that is part of a wider company. The rest of the HR team (3 others) sit in the London office and deal with different areas of the business. I report into the Head of HR.

I was recruited as a HR Advisor. The job description I have is based on that however having been at the company a year and having a background as a HR manager in SMEs I have quickly added further responisbility to the role which the Head of HR has encouraged. I have 4 departments I look after and most of the past 12 months has been about making changes to improve retention, which involved me really partnering the department heads. Having benchmarked my salary I am at the very top end of a HR Advisor for the area.

I want to ask the company to consider changing my job title to HRBP, does anyone have any advice on the best way to go about this, has anyone done this in the past sucessfully?
