I'm hoping to get some insights from the experienced professionals here. I'm actively preparing for my career in HR and would love to know if my current efforts seem sufficient or if there are areas I should focus on more.
Here's a quick rundown of my background:
- 8 years of core HR experience in India.
- Currently pursuing a master's in HRM at Aston University, which is giving me a strong academic foundation.
- Simultaneously working towards my CIPD Level 5 accreditation, ensuring I'm meeting professional standards.
- Volunteering as the HR Head for Enactus Aston, which provides hands-on, practical experience.
- Actively building my professional network, connecting with HR leaders and peers.
- My dissertation is an impact consulting project where I'm working with a real organisation on a live HR scenario.
Given all of this, do you think I'm on the right track with my preparation? Any advice on what else I could be doing or areas I should strengthen would be hugely appreciated!
