Coronavirus: Your workplace questions

At this difficult time, we'd like to offer people managers (and others) who are not CIPD Members an opportunity to ask questions about their specific workplace challenges.

We hope that collectively, the Community will feel able to chip in with guidance and signpost support and resources where these exist.

Thank you.

  • I have been asked to put together a 'return to work' list for managers to discuss (and document) with those homeworkers who may now be returning to work (to ensure consistency) - my initial thoughts of areas to include are:

    1. The processes that have been put into place in common areas to ensure safety, e.g. social distancing, handwashing, workspace cleaning regime, shift breaks, etc.

    2. The risk assessment and measures that have been put in place for their specific department and role.

    3. Individual personal situations that we may not have been aware of whilst they have been homeworking, e.g. new health concerns (themselves/those in their household), personal issues (e.g. bereavement, childcare), their concerns and questions.

I would welcome any comments/suggestions please - this is only my initial (rushed!) ideas - many thanks.
