We have an employee who will be starting an apprenticeship in September and will be required to attend the university for one day a week. Can we place this employee on flexible furlough for a day a week?
That wouldn't seem in line with the furlough guidance, and is not the reason the furlough scheme has been put in place. Whether it is legally possible or not, I'm not sure.
