Is your role hybrid?

I’m really interested to see if your role is Hybrid? Has it always been hybrid or has it become hybrid since the pandemic?  And importantly what is your role within HR? BP, Generalist? My previous role was hybrid before it was on the radar for most organisations and the organisation never saw it as an issue. I felt I was able to maintain a good balance and collaborate when needed. I’m surprised now, whilst job hunting how some organisations absolutely dismiss the idea of having HR as a hybrid role. (Stating you need to interact with a lot of people during the day). Am I expecting too much or is the expectation of being in the office everyday an outdated ideal of just a few? Would love your thoughts.

  • A good question and one that depends on the industry you work in. I work for a tech company where remote and hybrid working is the norm. However, if I was applying for jobs where the industry standard is office based, I would assume they would want me office based too.
