NOTIFICATIONS

Following our recent Community software upgrade, we observed that CIPD members have been auto-subscribed to all member-only forums in our community. This meant that members would automatically receive a notification email about a new post from any of these groups. As a result, we took the decision to disable all community notifications, to prevent a large number of unwanted emails being received by our community members.

In order to address the situation above, we will be taking the Community offline for maintenance on Thursday evening at 19:00, UK time. We expect the community to be offline for a couple of hours at most. Once complete, we will have cleared down all group and forum subscriptions. One unfortunate side effect of this is that you will need to re-subscribe to any groups or forums you wish to receive notifications from.

We apologise for any inconvenience, thank you for your patience - we hope to be back to full service later on Thursday evening!

LOGGING IN

As you have been telling us, login is not working as it should. We're on that case, too.

The fix for this is moving swiftly now, too... but in the meantime, there is a workaround (which we admit is less than satisfactory).

If you want to access this Community, please...

  • navigate to the main CIPD website
  • if you are logged in... please log out
  • ...and log in to the CIPD website again
  • navigate to the Community 
  • when you get to the Community you should appear as logged in and be able to access all areas (if you're a CIPD member).
  • next time you visit, you will need to access the Community again via the main CIPD website... (or keep the tab open in your web browser)
