With the changes in who may issue Fit notes starting today 01/07/22. A question for you. The industry I work in we have physiotherapists who now can issue fit notes, would they be able to issue these to fellow colleagues ? ( just my thoughts this could be miss used amongst the workforce )

    I don't believe there is any reason why they could not issue a fit note for a colleague

    Fundamentally these are professionals governed by professional standards. Any misuse would be a huge risk for such a professional

    In reality I don't anticipate much changing in the short term.
