Can you advise if someone can request to shorten their notice period to one week instead of one month.
The company has agreed but how do you word the acceptance of resignation letter without leaving themselves open to garden leave for the remaining 3 weeks?
If the employee asks and the employer agrees, you're not on the hook for PENP or garden leave. It's a mutually agreed amendment to the contract that the notice period be shortened.
