Travel Expenses

Just wonder if anyone has any guidance to the following. We pay travel mileage expenses for any adhoc travel between sites, based on the HMRC own car usage. But recently a few people are using public transport i.e. Buses. How do other pay this ?

Usually it's reimbursed on an actual cost basis, with tickets/receipts as evidence.

Agreed. There's no other way, is there - unless some kind of allowance.
