Changing a Holiday Year

Dear all,

Does anyone have any experience with changing a holiday year?

We are planning to change the company holiday year from 01/09/22 - 31/08/23 to 01/04/23 - 31/03/24.

Also, we are planning to increase the holiday allowance from 20 days to 25 days. 

Can anyone give tips how to calculate this?

For example if someone took 8 days since 1 Sept 2022, how do you calculate the carried over days?

    We changed the holiday year in our company from April-March to January December.

    We had a transitional period where we ended the year in March then calculated the entitlement from March to December, so no one missed out on annual leave they were entitled to. Then it did not get messy carrying over different amount of days. Then started fresh in January.

    We sent emails out to everyone and gave a consultation period for anyone to ask questions.
