Setting up a Bulgarian Office

I work for a tech company who have two developers employed currently through an Umbrella Company

We will be increasing our numbers in Bulgaria to around 10 and would like them to be on RouteNote contracts.

I am a complete newbie to dealing with the HR for non-UK locations.

Do we need to set up a legal entity in Bulgaria?

Easiest place to get information on Bulgarian employment requirements?

Thanks

  • You really need both company law and employment law advice, given your questions. Over the last 20 years I have made use of local firms in the IUS LABORIS network for this type of problem. The Bulgarian firm in the network is Boyanov & Co in Sofia. I haven’t made use of this particular firm but they appear to be a key local player. Their contact (and other) details can be found at boyanov.com.
