Recommendations for HRIS

Hi Guys I'm looking for any recommendations for an HRIS. I just starting working for a small charity with less than 50 staff and we have nothing at the moment. I'm looking for something cheap(ish), but the will keep basic records, handle leave and timesheets and have a mobile App so staff in remote locations can selfservice. Any thoughts or recent experience much appreciated Andy

  • hi, I'm not sure on cost, but my company used to use CakeHR for the functions you've listed. we only stopped using it, as we developed our own software.
  • Hi, I'd recommend Cascade. I also work for a small charity with less than 50 employees. We use it for all types of leave requests/authorisations and timesheets. It's self service, cloud based so available remotely. I believe they have an app version too however I can't really comment on that as we don't use it.
  • Take a look at CascadeGo its imbedded really well with our staff and has a mobile app.
  • Hi Andy
I'd recommend looking at Breathe HR - I think they give discounts for charities. Also, there was a system I looked at which was free for basic functions (called Charlie HR if memory serves).
  • If strictly for leave requests, something affordable is Timetastic. https://timetastic.co.uk
  • In reply to Debbie Murgett:

Debbie, Is this CascadeGo or CascadeHR? They are two very different HRIS systems. CascadeGo in my experience is a bit 'clunky', Cascade HR is much more functional.
  • Probably a bit late to be useful for Andy, but if anyone else finds this thread needing leave management (i.e. a staff leave planner) then Book a Day Off is good value for money: https://www.bookadayoff.com
