A CIPD Member... but 'locked out' of some forums?

I've received a number of emails from Members who are not able to access member-only groups (those with a padlock).

    When I 'click' on a photo to try and look at a persons profile I get the message 'Access Denied'. This has been happening for quite a while now but I thought it was a general change for everyone until yesterday when someone informed someone else how to do it and others also stated that it did not work for them
