Our business has circa 3,500 staff in the UK. How do businesses of a similar profile manage wellbeing in relation to supporting employees’ mental health? We currently have a mental health first aider network, consisting of employees who have volunteered and been trained across sites. This network is also supported by policy and guidance which includes an escalation process of what to do if a mental health incident escalates.
We are currently reviewing if this model still suits our needs, particularly in relation to the level of involvement our MHFAs have been encountering in addition to their day-to-day responsibilities.
Any insights on how other businesses of a similar size or larger who manage this aspect of wellbeing would be much appreciated.
