Changing my log in email address

HI, Not sure if this is in the right place but here goes!

I am retiring (early) on 31 December, effective last day 19 December. My current log-in email address is my work email address, which, obviously, will cease to be active on 1 January. I have reset my email preferences in my membership portal but advised that I have to contact Membership Services to get the log-in changed.

I did that yesterday and I am case number 01637126; however, response time is 5 working days which may be too late given the Christmas break.

I'm reaching out to this forum to see if anything can be done more quickly so that I can still access CIPD and the Discussion Forum after I have left.

Any help gratefully received from the Membership Team at CIPD!

Best wishes

Helen

I'll see what I can do, Helen. Grateful that you might still stay with us :)

Well, you know, Steve, I still have 6 months left to run on the subscription Slight smile. AndI have enjoyed being part of this Community.

And although I am retiring early, I just came across exam papers I sat in 1989 when I sat my (part-time/evening) Diploma in Personnel Management at what was then the Polytechnic of Central London. If it's okay I will upload them one by one and everyone can decide what, if anything has changed (other than terminology) in the ensuing years!

  • Helen, we might be talking about different things but I changed my contact/login details about a week ago without any interaction with member services.

    Hi again,

We've sorted this out for you now.

Thanks Steve, that seems to have worked! Merry Christmas to everyone! Good luck in 2025 and I promise to at least "lurk" and at best contribute! This is an amazing community to belong to and some fantastic contributors with oodles of experience and wise words - and amazing sense of humour! Best Helen
