Its for that reason i haven't renewed. The only time i have renewed was when i was studying because i had to have an active membership to submit assignments but to be totally honest, i think the membership cost is high and i cant find a reason to justify the expense right now.

I only renew mine because my employer pays for it. If they didn't I would certainly reconsider. This forum is the main benefit in my opinion. The cost seems to increase year on year without providing any additional value for money.

For someone new to the profession or inexperienced then these forums (as Steve has explained) are a goldmine of information, assistance and support - worth the annual fee for an associate many times over.

As membership grades progress there is a pathway to professional and Chartered recognition by arguably the most respected and revered people profession institute in the world.

If you work in people management the membership fees, in my opinion, represent exceptional value for money.
