GDPR query

Apologies for posting this here, but there are a few forums that I appear to be 'locked out' of, GDPR being one of them.

We are a very small charity, and outsource a couple of backroom functions. I am nominally the Data Protection Officer, and I've been here since January 2019, so still fairly new.

Can anyone recommend a way of finding an appropriate Data Protection specialist, to advise us on a couple of issues? The guy the organisation used previously, to advise on transition to GDPR, has very limited availability, so has not been able to help.

  • Hi Sarah

I used a Data Protection specialist at my last employer who was very good, pragmatic, knew their stuff and had a reasonable hourly rate etc. If you're interested, I can check with them whether they are interested - obviously can't just forward their contact details, that would be bad GDPR practice :).
