Voice recognition software

Hi there

We are looking to source a voice to text software package for a dyslexic colleague and wondered if anyone has any recommendations.  It would need to run on Windows 10 and Office 2016 online.

Thanks

  • Hi Denise
For many years Dragon has ruled the roost and continues to do so.

From Windows 7 onwards, voice recognition software comes as standard with Windows. it's called Windows speech recognition, and it's pretty good - but not up to the quality of Dragon. Go to your Start menu and in the search box at the bottom, type "speech recognition" and a box should open to activate the software and take a sample of your voice.

For a dyslexic, even a product like Dragon will have problems with place and people names, as well as homonyms like "here" and "hear"
