Referencing Woes

I am really struggling when it comes to referencing and using the EBSCO. 

I haven't studied since I was 16/17 and adding referencing is a whole new world to me but no matter what I type into the EBSCO I seem to get absolutely nothing and, quite frankly, I am beginning to worry. 

If anyone has any advice on where to find great references and if there is some kind of magic word I need to use then I would be really grateful beyond belief.

    Hi Amy, I know I am a couple of years behind but I have just started studying, and I am in the same position - Did you ever manage to get anywhere with this? I expect you will have completed this a long time a go now but incase you are still active! :)
