How did you assess you were ready for FCIPD?

I’m interested in how members assessed whether they were ready to apply for FCIPD membership. I’ve done the assessment quiz but I’ve found it tricky to assess if where I am fits FCIPD. What criteria would you recommend I consider?

  • Just be honest while replying to assessment questions and think if you can justify your answer with evidence. I have just been awarded FCIPD and I found the process relatively easy and straightforward
  • I had ten years of solid HR experience under my belt including leaving permanent employment to launch into an interim career which really broadened my experience considerably. The FCIPD status also helped me in my ongoing interim career and setting up my own HR consultancy. It was quite straightforward at the time. I have since been awarded Corporate Membership.
