Seeking guidance on FCIPD Membership assessment submission

Hi everyone, I’m currently working towards gaining my Chartered Fellow membership through the Experience Assessment route, and it’s my first time going through this process. I understand that the format for the written submission has changed recently, and unlike before, we no longer need to submit lot of supporting evidence? If any of you have gone through this process recently, I’d really appreciate any guidance or tips—especially around the written submission and the Professional Discussion.     Thanks for your post. I'm Olivia Taylor and I work as an Assessor at CIPD so hopefully I can help with your query :)
    Great to see that you're using our Experience Assessment (EA) route to gain Chartered Fellow membership. It really is a fantastic way to showcase examples of your work to get the recognition you deserve.

    You've likely already seen all the material on our website which takes you through how EA works, if not please check this out www.cipd.org/.../.

    So... now that you're underway my top tip is to make sure you use the Candidate Guidance which you'll find on the CIPD Learning hub on your EA page. This document really does take you step by step through the whole EA process, including what to include in your written submission, how to prepare and what to expect in the Professional Discussion. There's also a comprehensive FAQ document which is handy, also on the hub,

    You're right, we have taken the opportunity to streamline the EA journey for candidates following customer feedback. However, fundamentally the assessment core remains the same.
    It's simply all about you, sharing examples of your work across the areas of People, Work and Change, and most importantly the impact this work has had in your organisation.

    As you know, there are 2 parts to the assessment.
    Firstly, the written submission, which focuses primarily on people and work, plus we also get you to share what you've been doing in terms of professional development. It's not essay style, but smaller questions with a word count for each section. No supporting documents are required.
    As you're working in a word document, it's easy to cut and paste your examples. Then just upload this back into the Learning hub.

    Then the Professional Discussion which is around 1.5 hours, where your Assessor will be discussing other examples of your work and exploring the area of change. It's not an interview setting, but rather your assessor is there to enable you to share your evidence to meet the Membership Standards, it's a strength based holistic assessment.

    I really recommend spending some time reflecting on all the examples you have of your work from the last 5 years (remember all your evidence does need to come from within this time). Try to share your strongest examples that answer the questions being asked particularly making sure you draw out clearly what impact or value add your work has delivered.
