Evidence needed

Having finished my professional discussion for Associate about three hours ago here is how I looked at this, and my assessor agreed:

Quantitative is something with an actual number on it. The example I used was that when I ran a redundancy programme the organisation saved 10% of staff costs which came to about £500k a year, although there was a one year blip where costs actually increased to take into account redundancy payments.

Qualitative was about how people felt and how the restructured organisation worked. Did the redundancies allow it to continue working in the way the programme intended?

Hope that's of use and I didn't get the wrong end of the stick!

Thanks Matthew that's really helpful, so when they say evidence they are basically asking for verbal / written examples of tyhings you have done rather than physical evidence / copies of documents etc?

It may be different for Chartered, but for my Associate membership I had to do a written submission including information about my understanding of my employer's business/sector, my impact at work, a people project, and my CPD. There was no request for supporting evidence or documents.

My assessor then asked for clarity on a couple of points and asked for other examples to show how I met the membership standards. I suppose I was fluent enough in responses to be accepted.

I mentioned that my referee on the application was happy to vouch for me and was told that was not normally necessary!
